Children under age 6-8 (depending on physical maturity, and fine motor skill development) often have a Skiing if it was more old men would do it shirt trouble learning to snowboard. Yet they often have no trouble at all picking up skiing – assuming they have an instructor to mimic. Snowboarding takes an interesting combination of good core strength and fine motor skills in the feet/legs. Most little kids just haven’t developed this yet. There are plenty of exceptions, but my kids were great skiers and knew how to skateboard, but they really couldn’t learn to snowboard effectively until they were 7-8.Overweight people should stick to skiing. Unless you are fat and fit (pretty rare combination), you’re going to wear yourself out very quickly hauling your titanic tushy off the snow over and over. Most fat snowboard students don’t make it past lunchtime. As I said, I’ve been skiing almost my whole life and snowboarding for half of it. When I learned to snowboard, there were no instructors and it took me 4 days to get comfortable getting down the hill without constant falling. These days, good instructors can cut that learning time dramatically. Whatever you choose to try, take some lessons. They aren’t expensive and they’ll make the whole experience much more enjoyable and rewarding. Oh, and on a selfish note, remember to tip your instructor ;-).

Best Skiing if it was more old men would do it shirt
The first time I came here, I was really turned off by the whole glitzy retail experience in the Skiing if it was more old men would do it shirt. It really seemed like a high-end shopping mall that happened to have a ski mountain attached to it as an after thought. Aside from that the skiing is legit. There’s a lot to offer everyone with some super fun runs, lots of different peaks to explore, and a very family-friendly vibe. Expert terrain is challenging and steep on Birds of Prey and Grouse Mountain while there’s plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain to explore off Larkspur. A nice touch they are known for: they bring freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies out for everyone each day at 3pm down at the base and the Apres ski action is very lively and fun with live music on the patio outside of Powder 8s. Something to be mindful of is that the prices at BC are stratospheric. Just going to to grab lunch with your family of 4 can easily set you back over $100 on the mountain. And I’m only talking about a couple of burgers, a bowl of chili, a salad, 4 sodas, and a couple of brownies! We pack out own lunches at BC sometimes to cut costs.
